Comment
This is an addition to an existing cluster, but these additional turbines are much taller at 149.9m compared to the 115m of Achlachan and 100m of Causeymire. The difference in height will fragment the visual impact further. The turbines are close to houses. Properties to the immediate east of the proposal have been compensated, but others follow on including the village of Spittal, and Dale and Westerdale are close on the west side of the cluster with the new turbines basically sitting on top of Dale House if viewed from the other side of the river. The impact of the existing turbines can already be felt in the properties in the area, adding more turbines and especially such tall ones, will make it even worse. In addition the tall height will mean that aviation lighting is required affecting the dark skies of the area.
